We started the production of the documentary film titled “Several sequences of a greater whole” about Jan Tyszler.

We met at the State Fine Arts High School in Cracow. We were in one age, I was born in January 1933, he in August, but came to school a year later. Romek was so, so to speak, rake. A little here, a little there. He played in the radio theatre, in the Theatre for Young Audience, in the Theatre Grotesque, while he was a student …  of the Coal High School. He was looking for his place in life and happiness. I remember our first meeting. School of Fine Arts was located on the corner of Urzednicza and Juliusz Lea street in the old pre-war building. On the ground floor is placed the Party Committee, and on the first floor, in terrible cramped – a corridor and a few of classes – high school. There was a nice autumn day, Indian summer. On the small balcony from the yard, I was casting with a plaster the head of a cow. Half a floor above, on the other balcony, Romeczek was standing and looking at me. He wore a suit of grey flannel. I was casting and humming the Russian song “Doroshka Frontovaya”.
